E-commerce is a new way of business with the development of Internet technology and new economic management theory. As purchasing is the first window for enterprises to face the market directly, the development of e-commerce will completely change the present purchasing management mode in the future. E-commerce is mainly reflected in the form of industrial mall.

1. Online trade has become the mainstream of international procurement

At present, the B2B market environment is the best in the whole e-commerce market. Now 60% of the goods of European and American enterprises are purchased online.

2. E-commerce

E-commerce is a new way of business with the development of Internet technology and new economic management theory. As purchasing is the first window for enterprises to face the market directly, the development of e-commerce will completely change the present purchasing management mode in the future. The problems faced by traditional purchasing management, such as narrow information, not timely and accurate, loss of purchasing data, will gradually disappear in the process of implementing e-commerce.

3. Strategic cost management

The key content of purchasing management is to reduce the total purchasing cost. In order to obtain more profits or maintain higher competitiveness, the implementation of cost reduction strategy is often the first choice. However, with the significant reduction of cost reduction space in technology, equipment and other fields, the role of purchasing department, which was ignored in the past, is becoming more and more obvious. Enterprise procurement management will focus on cost, not just price, which promotes the formation of supply chain management theory. At present, the participants of cost reduction strategy are only single enterprises or key suppliers directly related to enterprises. However, with the aggravation of competition, the participation scope of cost reduction strategy will expand, including more supply chain members: enterprises, customers, suppliers, suppliers' upstream suppliers and other links in the supply chain. All these members will work together to seek opportunities for cost reduction in order to achieve a "multi win" rather than a win-win or a win-lose outcome.

4. Strategic procurement

Strategic procurement comes from the refinement of material classification management. The key of strategic purchasing is to keep close cooperation with suppliers, especially those with important suppliers and high switching costs. In fact, strategic procurement will directly lead to supply chain management. There will be two trends in strategic procurement in the future: first, as more and more time is spent in purchasing and supply to check the performance details, the supplier evaluation criteria will be more and more detailed and accurate. Second, because enterprises set up specific indicators for each or every type of supplier performance, the indicators to measure supplier performance will become more and more personalized. In other words, enterprises no longer implement unified standards for all members of the supply chain to reduce the complexity of management, but to find a balance point to formulate appropriate standards, so as to meet the specific requirements of the supply chain, and not to be too complex and difficult to manage.

5. Reduce the number of suppliers

Too many suppliers will make it difficult for purchasing personnel to cope with. Moreover, the more suppliers there are, the more potential safety hazards there are, and the more difficult it is to control product quality. Centralized procurement can not only obtain more advantageous prices, but also help in quality management, after-sales service, tracking, and even office costs.
